!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

As anyone who has been following me knows that I am currently between cars. And yes, I DO work for a dealership, so I have no excuses to be still using the COTA bus express here in Columbus. However, with the Holidays right around the corner, and needing to move in the next month to a new place, money is a bit tight so, off to Craigslist Land I go!

Lets see..what do I really need? I mean, just for now. Something cheap, reliable(ish), easy to insure, cheap, and big enough for my two grown sons to fit in as well.

Seriously, I think I was married to Bigfoot.

And did I mention cheap?

Anyway, as I work for Volvo, and I love Volvos in all their Swedish funky glory I typed in my parameters on Craigslist and this nugget of gorgeousness popped up.

Lets go back to the checklist:

Reliable? Nope.

Will my grown ass boys who still live at home and mooch off mom fit? Nope.

Cheap? *laughs* Err, nope.

Will my shitty insurance company even consider it? Hell no. Hmm...

I think I see a trend here, and all the voices in my head are screaming "NO!". Except for that asshole Dave who's whispering in my ear "You know you want it...go on. What's the worst that can happen? It's a Volvooooooo."

So, someone, anyone...talk me out of this.

they look good, though if you wanted an old Volvo to get you around reliably, stick with the B18/B20 4 cylinder ones. I remember something about the cam on these 164's and to replace them having to cut a hole in the firewall or remove the engine. Could be wrong, but I have a fuzzy memory of that
